Bids for construction of the Town of Mancos Main Street Bridge Replacement will be received at email address email@example.com until 3:00P.M. Thursday March 4, 2021 at which time they will publicly acknowledged.
The subject line of the email must be “Town of Mancos Main Street Bridge Replacement BID ENCLOSED.” If email responses are not sent to the email address listed above they will be considered as non-responsive and will not be accepted.
Mancos Main Street Bridge Replacement Project

This project generally consists of the removal and replacement of the Main Street Bridge at the intersection of Grand Ave. and Main Street. The project consists of the following: Construction Surveying and layout, mobilization, placement and maintenance of erosion control devices, clearing and grubbing, removal of existing bridge and road approaches, monitoring plan for historic building, shoring, placement of concrete caissons for new bridge, construction of new concrete bridge and appurtenances, placement of colored concrete with form liners, placement of storm drains, placement of concrete sidewalk, Placement of HMA on bridge and road approaches, placement of bridge rail (special), river channel improvements, placement of rip rap, and signing & striping removal and placement. The Town of Mancos will be responsible for traffic control.
The Town of Mancos reserves the right to reject any or all Proposals.
This project is exempt from Davis Bacon wage requirements and American Iron and Steel requirements.
All bids must be submitted in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Bids will only be accepted from qualified general contractors that have demonstrated experience in construction projects of this type.
A Bid Bond, in the amount of 5% will be required and a scanned copy must accompany the bid. Performance and Payment Bonds will be required upon contract award.
A mandatory pre-bid conference and project walkthrough will be held Thursday, February 18, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. MST. The pre-bid meeting will begin at the Town office located at 117 North Main Street, Mancos, CO and end at the Main Street Bridge.

Mancos is seeking a highly motivated individual with experience and integrity to join our team. The Mancos Marshal’s Office currently has four full time, dedicated police officers who report to the Town Marshal. Requirements/Minimum Qualifications: The ideal candidate shall have comprehensive knowledge of modern law enforcement principles, methods and procedures, federal, state, and local laws and ordinances, emergency planning. This is a highly visible position which requires excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to positively represent Mancos when interacting with citizens, law enforcement, allied agencies, local businesses, community groups and at Board meetings. A minimum of two years of tenured law enforcement experience is required. Colorado POST Certification is required as well as a valid Colorado driver’s license. A Degree in Criminal Justice, Public Administration or related field is preferred. Candidate must be a United States Citizen and pass a thorough screening process which includes oral board interview, criminal and background checks, drug/alcohol screen, and psychological testing.
