BACKFLOW PREVENTION PROGRAM
Staff has mailed out letters and a survey to all eligible properties to assess their current water uses and methods of cross-connection control. The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment has mandated that all public water suppliers develop programs to prevent contamination into the water system caused by backflow incidents. At this time, the town is required to assure compliance for all facilities except for single family residences.
