Deputy Morris recovered a stolen U-Haul box trailer in Mancos. The U-Haul trailer was located at
U-Haul and was not stolen it was left at the location by mistake. This case was closed and no further investigation took place.
20-0008
Deputy Morris received a call of a cold theft in the 500 block of Grand Ave, in the Town of Mancos. Deputy Morris found several items were stolen from a house on Grand Avenue with an approximate value of $2500. Deputy Morris identified the suspect and will be seeking arrest warrants.
20-0009
On January 24, 2020, at approximately 2116 hours, Deputy Farnsworth was dispatched to an active physical disturbance the 300 block of E Montezuma St, Town of Mancos, County of Montezuma, and State of Colorado.
A male party that was intoxicated had assaulted several people. While attempting to investigate, the male party became physically resistant and attempted to use physical force on the Deputy Marshal Farnsworth. The male was arrested for obstructing police. The victim of the assault declined to press charges. While transporting the male to jail he attempted to escape. The male was subdued and also charged with Attempted Escape. No officers were harmed.
