On September 3, 2020, at approximately 1535 hours Deputy Topaha was dispatched to a subject with a possible violation of probation at the 400 block of North Oak located in the Town of Mancos, County of Montezuma, and the State of Colorado. The male suspect was arrested for violating his probation.
On September 9, 2020, at approximately 1322 hours, Deputy Topaha was dispatched to a possible assault located in 50 block of S. Willow. The female suspect was later arrested for harassment and domestic violence.
On August 12, 2020, at approximately 1134 hours, Marshal Goodall responded to 120 E Sunset, Town of Mancos, County of Montezuma, State of Colorado, for a code complaint. The complaint was turned over to Deputy Farnsworth.
The complaint was of offensive odors. A large number of code violations were determined to be the source. They range from stockpiled garbage to large quantities of animal waste. The occupant was issued an immediate notice to abate the immediate health risks created by the violations. The property was subsequently cleaned by the property owner.
On September 18, 2020, at approximately 1312 hours, Deputy Farnsworth was dispatched to a report of a stolen credit card used at Cox Conoco, Town of Mancos, County of Montezuma, State of Colorado.
The suspect was gone but was captured on video surveillance. The suspect has not been identified at this point in time.
On, September 19, 2020, at approximately 1323 hours, Deputy Farnsworth was dispatched to a report of identity theft in the 500 block Riverside Ave, Town of Mancos, County of Montezuma, State of Colorado.
The female caller had an active felony warrant for child abuse resulting in death her arrest. The female could not provide any proof to her report of identity theft. The female presented law enforcement with what she claimed to be an order signed by a federal judge that quashed her warrant among numerous other things. The document was fictitious.
The Female was arrested on the warrant and the case forwarded to the DA for multiple charges of Felony Forgery.
On 9/24/2020, Deputy Farnsworth inspected a residence in the 200 block of W 2nd Street, Town of Mancos, County of Montezuma, State of Colorado, and found the property has not complied with 9 months worth of warnings about violations of town code. The property owner will be issued a summons to appear in Mancos Municipal Court.
On September 11-2020, Sgt. Ray conducted a traffic stop near 40700 Hwy 160, within the Town of Mancos, State of Colorado, reference speed.
Upon contact with the driver, Sgt. Ray advised her the reason for the stop being she was traveling 54 MPH in a posted 45MPH zone. While speaking to the driver, Sgt. Ray could smell the odor of an unknown alcoholic beverage coming from the passenger compartment of the vehicle. Sgt. Ray asked the driver if she had consumed any alcohol earlier in the evening, and was told yes.
Colorado State Patrol was requested to the location and took over the stop for further investigation.
On September 26, 2020, at approximately 1037 hours, Deputy Farnsworth was dispatched to the 200 block S Main, Town of Mancos, County of Montezuma, State of Colorado, at the request of SW Memorial Ambulance for possible neglect.
The victim’s son was arrested for neglect of an at-risk adult resulting in Serious Bodily injury, which is a class 5 felony. A search warrant was executed on the residence and no evidence of anything illegal besides the neglect was found. A code letter and emergency order to abate hazardous conditions was served on the property.
On October 1, 2020, Sgt. Ray was dispatched to a two-vehicle motor vehicle crash in the 500 block of Bauer Avenue, within the Town of Mancos Colorado.
Upon arrival, both vehicles had been moved before my arrival. No injuries were reported and only one vehicle had to be towed from the scene. No citations were issued.
