Mancos Awards $47,000 in Grant Funding

Mancos awards $47,000 in grant funding to first round applicants of the Mancos Cares Coronavirus Relief Fund

The Town of Mancos is pleased to announce that $47,144 will be awarded to Mancos-based small businesses for the first round of the Mancos Cares Coronavirus Relief Fund. Mancos received 17 applications. Based on the criteria set forth in the application, 13 applications were approved by the selection committee to receive the federal funds. Approximately $42,800 remains to be given away in the next round. The funds that the town is unable to grant to local businesses will be given to the school to help cover COVID-19 related expenditures for students.

All businesses/organizations that receive funding will also receive a one-year Mancos Valley Chamber membership in order to access its business support, networking, and resources. Any current Mancos Valley Chamber members will have their membership extended for an additional year.

The Town is encouraging Mancos-based businesses who have experienced business loss due to COVID-19 and have eligible expenditures to apply for the grant if they have not done so already. Those who submitted an application in the first round and were not approved are also encouraged to adjust their applications and re-apply. The deadline for the second and final round is November 30.
