April 5, 2016 Election Update

The Town of Mancos will have our regular Municipal Election on April 5, 2016.  This will be a mail ballot election.  We strongly encourage all citizens to review their voter registration information. This may be done online at www.govotecolorado.com or by contacting the Montezuma County Clerk’s Office.  Please cast your vote by returning your ballot by mail or dropping it off to Mancos Town Hall.  Ballots will be mailed no later than March 21, 2016  Please contact Heather Alvarez, Town Clerk/Treasurer with any questions.

Ballot Question

Shall the Town of Mancos, without increasing taxes by this measure, be authorized to provide any or all services currently restricted by Title 29, Article 27, Part 1 of the Colorado Revised Statutes, described as “advanced service,” “telecommunications service,” and “cable television service”, including, but not limited to, any new and improved high bandwidth services based on future technologies, utilizing community owned or other infrastructure, including but not limited to existing fiber optic network, either directly, or indirectly, or by sale, or purchase, or resale, or by contract with public or private sector service providers, to potential subscribers that may include telecommunications service providers, advanced service providers, residential users, commercial users, schools, libraries, non-profit entities, and other users of such services?
