6/24/2019 Marshal’s Office Press Release

Good Morning,

I was out of town last week.  This is the press release for the last two weeks.

19-0079
On June 10, 2019, Cortez Dispatch advised me to respond to the 400 block of N. Mesa for a theft complaint. There were two T.V.’s stolen from the residence. This case will remain open until the male suspects are contacted.

19-0081
On June 14, 2019, Cortez Dispatch advised Mancos 1 to respond to the 400 block of Bauer for a cold theft. Mancos 1 contacted the male victim who stated an unknown subject had stolen his paddleboard in the night. There are no suspects at this time.

19-0083
On June 15, 2019, at approximately 22:14 Hours, Mancos 1 was dispatched to a hit and run accident in the 100 block of Spruce Street. Mancos 1 arrived and spoke to the reporting party, who stated the suspects left the area in a white pickup truck.

Mancos 1 attempted to locate the vehicle and observed the returning to the residents. Mancos 1 stopped the vehicle and contacted the male driver. The driver was arrested for a protection order violation and charged with unsafe backing.

19-0086
Dispatched to Livewell at 449 Railroad Avenue for the report of a female attempting to use a fake ID to purchase marijuana. Upon arrival, the female had left and the ID was turned over to the Marshal’s Office.

The female was later located at the Family Dollar. See report for further information.
