Chicken Creek Nordic Ski Area Trails
Chicken Creek Nordic is located
northwest of Mancos..
From the junction of US highway
160 and Colorado Highway 184 in
Mancos, travel north on Colorado
Highway 184 for 2.5 miles to the
junction of Montezuma County
Road 40. Turn right (north) on County
Road 40 and continue 2.5 miles to
the trailhead parking lot.
Opportunities: Skiing on 9 miles (15 km) of maintained skate and classic trails with an additional 9 miles of unmaintained trails. Difficulty Rating: All ability levels from beginner to advanced Elevation: The trailhead is 7,500 feet. The highest elevation on the maintained trail system is 8,200 feet. Cost: Suggested donation is $3/ person/day.

- Leave your pets at home as they DO damage groomed trails
